Played the ridge, today as part of a society, breakfast was included but nothing to write home about. Things did not improve out on the course. I do not think there was one flat tee box, on one hole teeing off on the right hand side meant the ball would have been at least 6 inches above your feet. The fairways were burnt, but that can be expected with the lack we have had this year, however there can be no excuse for how bad the green were I would guess if you had a stimp reading it would be well under 5. It was like they had not been cut for at least a week and they were clearly over watered as walking on the left imprints. In returning to the club house the staff were shocked that we were still there, some 4 hours after our tee time. The chef had already left and it was not very welcoming. Doubt I would return!!!

You forgot to add the pro shops crap! The beers rubbish just like the food, the range never has balls in the machine, the short game area is in worse condition than the local refuse centre and the bunkers wouldn't know what sand was as there is none in any of them.

The tee box issue you have I would say isn't true for every true for every hole as you state because thinking about it there's only really 3 holes i can think of that have that issue being 8th, 9th & some sections of the 16th tee.

The greens at start of the year were exceptional but that only lasted about a week! You have in essence summed up pretty much every reason why joining the Ridge at the start of the year is the worst golfing decision I have made and in part the reason why my golfs been so poor all year as I simply don't have the desire to keep going to a course in such poor condition, a club so unwelcoming and just have pretty much no enjoyment each time I play there. The reason I joined is down to the week I went there it was in great condition as they'd got it that way for am open week of getting people along and through the doors to join on special membership deals!

Well I've played once in 3weeks as I've just had enough of the place and looking around else where and pretty much written off golf for the year. The only saving grace in any of this is the fact I will no longer be shelling money out to them from September and will then look at joining somewhere else even if it means returning to my old council course where the tees aren't great but the members and welcome there is far superior.
