Went to my local Morrisons and it is already full of Christmas stuff & gifts? Mrs tells me that the stuff has been out for a couple of weeks!!! Last check we are still in Oct, so looks a bit early to me (or am I the only one). When does one start preparing for Easter 2014?

Got two kids' birthdays in October and after that we get into full present-buying mode. Get it all done before the queues and have plenty of money in December for food and drink.

I hate supermarkets foisting these seasonal celebrations upon us miles ahead of time. Easter eggs in January and Christmas stuff out in the last week of September. Yes I understand it is their biggest earning time of the year but it is plain wrong

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO AND NO!!!
I had the best day of the year RUINED by Tesco.
Peace and tranquility finally returned to the house the day the kids went back to school. So to be nice to HID I went and did a few bits of shopping in the evening. Strolling round Tesco getting the bits on the list and realised I had forgotten something up the far end of the store so wandered over to pick it up before walking to the till, then I saw IT!
Christmas had arrived with chocolates, advent calenders and the like. I left the shop a broken man.

Not looking forward to it this year. Wifey will be going in hospital for a big op soon and will be layed up all over Xmas. I'm the one who's gonna be cooking. It's not that I mind doing it, it's just gonna be damn tough being able to match her standard. Xmas is a BIG deal at ours !!!!!

Heard in the news that Morrisons will stay open on Boxing Day and New Year's day!!! Apparently to cater to customer demands. Anyone heard about online shopping?

Must be about 10 weeks to Christmas because this same thread pops up every year about this time... nearly as reliable as the supermarkets
