First up I don't know diddly about the Ryder Cup / Solheim Cup matches pre Celtic Manor, so I'm hoping you'll be able to enlighten me. From what seems like an enormous period of US domination the boot is firmly on a European foot (currently being dug into American ribs). So what has happened?

Are they in decline? Are we on the rise? Have European teams grasped a new found sense of self belief with the men's and women's teams feeding off each others and their own past success?

Whatever has happened, I like it

I just think all the Europeans have seen through all the whooping and face paints. Them yanks talk a good game
