Thoughts Gunner fans??

Totally outclassed today 6-1 as I type.

Is it time up yet or do you all still blindly believe he is still the man?

It is looking like another barren year already......down with the Spurs?? ;)

Oops it finished 8 - 2. How can he survive that? Arsenal will be lucky to progress from their group and the way things are going will be lucky to finish top ten. I know it's only 3 games into the season but surely the alarm bells must be ringing?

They may have had a few players out but the crap that was in is down to him.

The squad is extremely weak and this is solely down to 1 man.

I didn't even think Man U played that great.

Shows you what a poor result the Toons was 1st game of the season. :D ;)

8-2 it finished or manchester 13 london 3 today .. had a feeling utd would win but thats mad .. their defence was always poor & now they have sold out their midfield .. alot of dosh needed to fix this .. always had great time for arsenal as they play pure football , best in the league by far.. as good a manager wenger is you have to question why he hasnt strenghtened his defence & keeper.. then fabragas & nasri wanted out & left , hard to compete when you dont replace the quality that leave .. arsenal 4th from bottom tonight.. they stil be there or ther abouts near the end .. top 4 at the very best tho is all they can hope for ..must be hard for the fans to take that tho

Im sure Arsene sees this as nothing more than a character building exercise for his young team, his players will be better for it in the future etc etc etc.......yawn yawn yawn.

Ah if he doesnt see whats needed after today he may throw his hat at it .. hopefuly he doesnt raid us for arteta & jags .. one thing tho is they did have to play pool & utd in 1st 3 games & they would always be looseable games.. he would have been under alot more pressure if they had bee lesser teams .. swansea 1st up after the international break .. must win game

Fair enough they might be a chance they get beat but they should have been able to give them game. Mersin was saying about all the players coming back for arsenal but they wouldn't even get in uniteds squad, they are that far behind.

3 days 4-6 players to get .... I was hoping top 6 but now I doubting top 10 ............. and probably VP and Theo away in January ............

Taxi for Mr.Wenger !!!!!!!

Im a Man U fan and it gives me no great satisfaction to beat Arsenal 8 -2. What happened to the 1-0 , 2-1 blood and thunder games proper 6 pointers ? - the side you played today wouldnt get in to our reserves. If you keep selling the family silver thats what happens!
Wenger is a great manager and anyone who thinks he should go is mad. He needs £50 -60m to spend now otherwise Champions league will be a distant dream next season and thats £25m min down the pan.
Put your hands in your pockets Arsenal- is not the manager its the management at fault

Today was the same old Arsenal but without there big name players that can sometimes change a game. All they can play is open passing football. They need to learn when to sit back and defend and try weather a storm.

Wenger won't walk and the board won't sack Jim because they are too tight to pay out his contract.

From a few days ago :

And I know Wenger doesn't like old players, but there are times when one has to look at the short term, rather than the long term future, and the week you lose your two best players is one of those times. Kroenke should have had Wenger in the office on Monday morning and told him to pick :

two centre backs
a left back
two centre midfielders
and a centre forward.

AND TO STOP LOOKING AT FRICKING YOUNG WINGERS WITH 'POTENTIAL' UNTIL WE'VE ACTUALLY GOT THE SPINE OF THE TEAM RIGHT.

Wenger is a great coach, but tonight just highlighted how much trouble we are in. It showed that we have the weakest squad we've had for over twenty five years.

And that is nothing to celebrate.

And from yesterday

If we can't afford to pay more than Everton and Bolton we might as well give up.

And even if we have to pay £13 million and £17 million respectively we could get Cahill and Jagielka to strengthen the squad when we need it desperately.

And I'll take Parker at £8 million all day purely for his experience and leadership. Anyone out there old enough to remember Kevin Richardson back in the 80s ?

What's the betting we don't sign any more players this window if yesterday's example is anything to go by.

I'll trust Wenger and the board for another 3 days, after that I'm at the end of my tether.

Until last year Wenger has done great on a shoestring. The new ground is there to protect the future of the club. Well, the future is here today - we need that protection money NOW.

It isn't rocket science, we've got £60 million in the bank, there are several players out there that would walk into this team. If the money stays on the balance sheet it shows exactly where their priorities are.

:( :( :(

.. hopefuly he doesnt raid us for arteta & jags ..

And Baines, don't forget about Baines.

We'll have the lot, please

;)
oih you lot .. clear off :D :D says alot tho doesnt it? .. you need players from a team that finished 4 places below you to now strenghten your team .. hope he does get the funds tho , the league needs the good quality football arsenal bring.. unfortunate thing for us is if we sell you the 3 of them the dosh goes off the loan & not into the team or club .. that could be curtains for us as a top ten team mayb even as a prem team ..

I'm a United fan too. What he said. If you sack Arsene, you've shot yourselves in the knackers, he's a great manager. Something not right in the background though, regarding recruitment. There has allegedly been money available for the last 2 years, yet you still don't have a CH, CM or CF - as Merson says, the spine of the team.

I'm not gonna use the excuse that we had so many out injured as that's been the case for years now but since we moved from highbury the board won't release money to buy decent players .
ARSENE has been covering up for the board saying he can't find better players than we already my tut tut tut arse .

Sacking the manager won't change things as new man will still have the same players and as for selling the ones we got nasri and clech were sold because their contracts were running out .

So my answer is yes I'm still trusting ARSENE

I've said it for 3-4 years.

Out of the 92 league clubs 91 need more skill/technique.

Only arsenal need less and need to mix their team up with more tackling ability/strength. However, Arsene wont sign a Mascherano or John Terry. He always wants very good footballers.

I'm arsenal through and through, and thought we would get humped today. Not far wrong then.

First team I don't think is a million miles away from being solid. Squad players no where near. Three years ago, we would have had internationals on the bench. Now it's kids.
When you have squad numbers like 53, 54, on the bench, and 49 playing, some thing is wrong.

Never mind, tomorrow we will announce a south Korean striker bought for 7 mill. That will patch up the gaps.

Not happy, and I don't think it is all wenger's fault.

Im with you Mark, wenger is a good manager and must stay.
However i did get great satisfaction winning 8-2.
Many times we have lost to Arsenel by the odd goal and had it rubbed in our faces.
In fact i would be happy if we beat every team 8-2 this season.
The question is do Arsenel buy just to fill the gaps with short term investment,or buy for the future.
As ive said before Arsenel are a massive club and imo should attract big stars.
Another great buy this year by Fergie[Ashley young]Has slotted in like hes been at Utd for years.
Once again Fergie has seen something in a player that know other manager was willing to commit to.

I posted on here how well I thought they had done on Wednesday. Today they were shocking. I've seen lower league and non league sides go to Old Trafford and put up more resistance. They had no idea and men against boys doesn't cover it. Tactically inept, they looked out of their depth from the start and for me this is all down to the manager. I think the writing is on the wall for Wenger although I think they will give him a few weeks yet. A bad run in Europe and a few more league defeats though and it'll be au revoir
