Is it just me?

That looks forward to playing in the rain and wind? :D

I was told today "Hey kid.. we need you for the winter league match next weekend"

Me: "sure Im up for it"

Team captain: " It will probably be wet, windy and raining"

Me: "Cannot wait!!"

Good to hear it :). I bet you play pretty good when you do play. Im like the only person who i know that likes playing in it and always seem to score reasonably well :D and the others always struggle. Coincidence? i think not

Played yesterday in the wind and rain and loved it......Rain doesnt bother me as playing football in it since i was 8..............My theory always was that if i had to play in it then i should practice in it also....

Im fine once i can get a warm shower and a bowel of soup after it :D :D :D :D

Played yesterday when it was hideously tough and again today when it was still very tricky. I am swinging the club like a real chopper anyway so that didn't help but I really enjoyed the challenge especially in cross winds. OK the wind and course probably beat me at least 7&6 both days but it didn't rain and it was a fully open course and not too wet.

What with last weekend being stupid cold, and this weekend being stupidly windy with the odd shower, I'm playing great.

Last 6 rounds my worse score has been 80. 8 over par, two under h/cap.

I have no doubt this run of form will last all the way to the comp on Sunday, when it will mysteriously desert me.

They're working on it. The majority of the green are now up to USGA standard (they're redoing the 1st at the moment) and they're putting in new drainage but they can't do much about the course being in a valley between Arthur's seat and Old Dalkeith Road. The 14th and 15th are my two favourite holes on the course and I'm really enjoying being a member there :)

It's a lovely place to play in the summer when the blossom is on the trees :)

Wanted to hit some balls tonight but the wind seemed too blustery to justify it (and HID had cooked a beef stew) and so I'll try again tomorrow when it is suppose to be better weather. I don't mind the wind or the rain as it takes patience to score well in these conditions and that suits me.
