Is it just me or is this the wettest drought ever?

Its done nothing but rain for the past two weeks. You could fill a swimming pool with the water on the greens at Oulton Hall.

Any other courses have ducks on their greens?

You sarf Afrikaans just dont understand British traditions do you? 2 weeks without rain in any part of the country and we are obliged to ban hosepipes. 3 weeks and they shut car washes. 4 weeks and we officially class ourselves as a desert state. Any longer than that and we check the bible for any other signs of the coming apocalypse.

No, but dogs are enjoying a good swim, looking for premium balls

The 14th and 18th greens had natural water hazards on them on Tuesday. The bunkers were retaining water and my mate lost a ball in the water in the bunker on the front of the 11th. Yesterdays rain must have wreaked havoc. The place was getting churned up from all the traffic. Havinng USGA spec greens can work against a course IMO as they have stayed open when the course could do with a rest.

Trudged round in the rain yesterday, only thing wetter were the fish in the river that runs thorough our course. Lots of ducks and Canada geese on the course but never a birdie.:(
