Is it game over for Rory ?

The Open is over for him yes and the big Guns at Nike are shaking there heads even more

I look forward to him firing on all cylinders again but when is anyone's guess...

Game over, he would have to shoot 65 rnd 2 and even then he'd prob miss the cut, he has slim to no chance of even playing par golf just now.

Didnt he say last week he had 'found' the driver and putter to suit? He's sounding more and more like a GM forum member:rofl:

I can play with Nike clubs, so there are no excuses.......

It's no doubt Rory has the talent to compete at the top consistently but Golf is an individual sport so it will always be noted if a particular player is out of form.

I think he may struggle to add another major, and if he does it won't be before Woods IMO

Clearly it wont be before woods, he is in much better form and i think his mentality is much stronger than Rory's so when playing not well, he recovers well. look at today, started badly and back to par quickly. he will be there or there abouts come sunday..

Saw his interview on sky last night and when pressed about his form he basically said, who cares I've got a cushy life anyways whilst smirking. Now whilst this is true, and many folk will find his jovial manner endearing he doesn't strike me as destined for the top. Talent only gets you so far.....

I saw this. My immediate thought was one of someone knowing he has more cash than he can ever spend and not really being bothered. Would seem an almost Gasgoine/Best waste of talent. He really needs someone to get a firm hold of him and tell him a few home truths and I wonder why his dad who had such a big influence early on isn't doing so
