Egypt Bombs Libya Targets After Beheadings...


Egypt's military says it has bombed targets in Libya, a day after a video purporting to show the beheading of 21 Egyptians was released by Islamic State-inspired combatants.

The attack, in which Libya's air force also took part, focused on camps, training sites and weapons storage areas across the border between the two countries.
A Libyan air force commander told Egyptian state television that 40-50 militants were killed...

So like the Jordanians when some of their own get killed Egypt attack these camps .. If everybody knows or can find where they are why arent they being wiped out anyhow ?

Warfare, is it all a big game or distraction or what to all these people ?, do the big guns only do what suits when it suits them? are governments really doing ALL they can to keep their people safe? or is war too big a business to put an end to it ?

A great deal amount of bombing both by allied forces and other Middle East countries is happening - they are targetting these camps to eliminate those areas they find

The issue is they can't "carpet" whole areas because these guys and girls are hiding in amongst innocent people

We have been doing Air Sorties for months now - other countries are now joining in

What country do you live in? I wasn't aware that ISIS had set up camp in Cheshire. I must have missed the press release.

Those who win the war will write the history, unfortunatly I can't see the history of this one ever being completed in my life time.

The trouble with ISIS is how splintered and dynamic they are. Bomb one camp and more will appear. This really is a hydra and not enough is being done to cauterize the wounds before 2 heads grow back.

My daughter will be Muslim? Blimey, that's news to me and probably her. She's downstairs now watching Stampy Longnose playing Minecraft videos on You Tube. Do Muslims have an equivalent? As if not she won't be happy and I can see a few tears before bedtime.

I think someone should take out these nutters, and it should be a a coalition of other well armed, well trained and highly motivated countries in the locality, like Egypt, Saudi, Jordan etc.

Agreed Ethan , but (publicly anyhow) the min something happened to someone belonging to them they knew where to find and bomb these camps & kill them ...

Just seems strange to me , but #3 by Phil was news to me also . i knew there was some going on but not all involved

Yanks have deployed a Brigade yesterday. It looks like it's back to boots on the ground. No amount of air strikes will or can win this as was proven in Gulf 1.

Unfortunatly this will only end if all Arab States work together to end it but as always, tribalism will decide what, if anything they do about it.
