Or does anyone else get annoyed at seeing the pros throw their putters onto the green after important shots?

When Tiger Woods missed his putt for 62 at the US PGA he threw his putter down on the green. (Shortly afterwards you saw him sheepishly trying to take out the pitch mark this had left.) He is not the only one by far - one of the famous shots of Jack Nicklaus in one of his Major triumphs has him cowering from his putter's landing after he has hurled it high in the air.

Do players get fined for damaging the course in this way?

I agree can't be doing with the hammed up 'Tour Player Disgust' - not sure if they do get fined but they should be

Stenson only got fined a few hundred quid for smashing that tee marker at the Open

Woods' case was even worse then Stenson's. Stenson's was oafish and unattractive admittedly, but his vandalism wouldn't affect any other golfers. Woods was potenially making it harder for those following to putt by denting the green. What if his putter mark ended up on someone's line to the hole and they missed their putt as a result?
