Playing here on Thursday. Been trying for a while to get down and finally getting round to it. What's it like at the mo? Is it lift and place from the fairway?

Cheers.

Played in the medal yesterday. Greens were quite quick if a little bumpy. Yes, lift off fairway and place in rough if you don't have a mat. Heather and rough fairly low at the moment. Fairways generally really dry and only the occasional soft spot in the rough.
We normally go to summer course after first comp but it has been put back to 1st April this year. Some of the winter tees are a bit worn and a couple are mats.
Enjoy and let us know how you get on.
ps food is good and cheap

Great, thanks. Only heard good things about the place. Will let you know how it goes. Will also fill me boots with the grub 😃.

Just posting to say that myself and a few mates went to play irvine yesterday. I have to say I don't think I've played at a friendlier venue. We were shown round the place by one of the members which is a first for me.

The kitchen wasn't open and wouldn't be before we teed off but the woman behind the bar gave us the donuts that the staff had brought in and hadn't eaten. Above and beyond springs to mind.

As for the course it was in great nick. It was a fair challenging and I can see that it would be even more difficult in high summer.

I look forward to playing again. Overall an excellent experience.

Glad you enjoyed it, still a bit bare but it is coming on.

I've only played it once quite a few years ago. I came up behind a 3 ball who waited on the 2nd tee and immediately asked if I would like to join them. We played 'Dan's rules' for the next 17 holes and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Imagine it is a good place to be a member

It is, remind me why I resigned yesterday ??

Aye ure golf is improving n u chuck it before u put a score in. My target is to break 80 this year

I know, that was a bit disappointing.
Hopefully come back for Walker Putter.
Breaking 80 at Bogside will be tough as CSSS is often 73 so you would be effectively 6 over. You can do it.

Need to change my signature now
