A US golf website has published a light hearted list of a golfers most irritating habits

Because its another golf website I wont post a link or copy the whole article but I've picked out a few of my favourite titles (some of which I'm guilty of myself)

27. Scorekeeping on Your Fingers
26. Cliche Spouting
25. Course Name Dropping
24. First-Tee Excuse Making
22. Excessive Practice Swinging
19. Insisting on Playing the Tips
16. Ignoring the Group Pushing Up Behind You
15. Endless pre-shot Data Gathering
11. Playing Unready Golf
5. Reliving your Round in the Bar
3. Offering Unsolicited Advice
1. Being Shocked by Your Own Poor Play

What would you add that irritates you and what annoying habits are you guilty of?

My mate Ray Taylor could go on mastermind. Specialist subject??? "Talking in the background while others are putting". He's a lovely bloke, but it does my head in.
Also, he has a habit around the tee. After hitting his tee shot, if it doesn't go according to plan, he stands within your eyeline practice swinging to "get it right next time".
I just move away from the ball and glare at him, that usually stops it.

My most annoying habit (and I have a few) is speeding off to my ball ahead of the group I am playing with. I hate "strolling" up the fairway chatting, and would much rather just get to my ball and see how it's lying. Time for chatting for me is around the green between shots when you are all hopefully together, or during the walk from green to tee.

People who go through a PSR for a practise swing. I have seen it done.

Also, people who have multiple practise swings. Two I can live, maybe 3 if you do them quickly, but there is absolutely nothing to be gained from taking a proper stance and methodically working your way through 5 practise swings.

My worst habit is that, even with my contact lenses in, I am terrible at spotting golf balls land.
So I'm always asking PP's "is that ok?", "do I need to hit another?" or telling them "looked good in the air", "good strike"
I may need to go for another eye lazering :p

PPs waiting for you to play first when

1. they're blatantly further away than you
2. there's so little difference that whoever's ready should play

The amount of times my PP has stood leaning on his putter waiting for me when he's further from the hole or he's ten yards back on the fairway.

Post shot practice swings after hitting a bad one. Honestly what's the point. the balls been hit.

Something I've seen a few times recently. Saw one guy a few weeks back still on the tee, swinging away, whilst his PP's were 100 yards down the fairway waiting for him to get to his ball.

Me and my usual playing partners always play ready golf. One playing partner is happy with this when he's losing holes, he races to the next tee to get off first. Try this when he's won a hole and suddenly it's his honour!

Become a bit of an inside joke in our group!

After hitting a wayard one, one of my PP always says

"You'll have a line in from there"

The fact I'm 20 yards into the cabbage is irrelevant
