Irons

I have been thinking of buying some new irons when im away next month, but my question is do i need them?

i am currently playing with the MD blackhawk irons and hybrids. Should i hang on to these for a while longer or should i go out and spend a coulpe of hundred pounds on some new irons. Plus will these new irons have an effect on my game or not?
