Irons opinions required please.

If your a good short iron player but struggle with the long irons , look into getting a split set ,

I know I wish I had done this 4,5,6 GI clubs 7-pw better player irons

I've just made the switch from Taylormade Burner Irons to the Ping G25.

Very impressed with the G25 so far, I seem to be getting more height on the ball (something I've always struggled with) however that seems to have caused me to lose 5 yards of distance per club. As has been said as well, I find them incredibly easy to hit, and are very forgiving (they must be with my swing) and I'm really starting to play quite well.

You could do AP1's 4-7 iron, and AP2's 8-PW

Well, went to my usual golf shop yesterday( has a range at it too). Got looking at the irons and after going up looking for ap1's and g25's just didnt find the 25's that pleasing on the eye. So i ended up demo'ing the callaway hot pro as recommended by chris661, the ping i20's and the mizuno 825pro's. all absolutely beautiful clubs to look at. Had a bit of a hl shaft in the i20's not sure on all the specifics on shafts and he put 3 different ones on them just to gauge how well they'd go for me and to be honest was hitting the i20's a dream. When the callaways went they were long! Obviously due to their strong lofts and bit longer shafts. The mizuno's are absolutely beautiful. thats 1st time ive hit mizuno irons.Short of it is im gona book custom fitting over next week or 2 and get them ordered. Suprised at the 3 that i demo'd as they werent really in my mind.

I don't use them but the i20s are the best iron I've hit in a long time. Ive got a mate who plays off 20 and he has no problems using them, Hits the 4 iron very well. His iron play is great,he just drops shots elsewhere.

Never been a fan of ping, as never thought they looked nice which is half the battle as u dont want to hate looking at your clubs but the i20's look great as do the ansers.. they really were so easy to hit. couldnt believe it.didnt hit one bad one. My only worry is wondering if therell be i25's along soon.
