Hi all

Going to do my first competition at my "new" club in February...it'll be my first comp since May 2013.

Checked out the sign up sheet and it turns out it's an irons only comp....3-PW + wedges (I'm assuming they allow a putter!)..... Thinking about it already my course will get infinitely harder as you need to be a big hitter to get around.

Anyone else done this? Was it fun or just hard work?

Cheers

Adam

Sounds like a bit of fun during the winter months. At least it'll not be a counter so go on and have some fun and enjoy it.

You might be surprised how much the improved accuracy helps. Assuming you dont have a stinker....

Sounds fun !! Good luck and play well. Some of our old boys wouldnt like this comp, they have more woods and hybrids than irons!!

We have a one club and putter comp coming up, not for me, fortunately away anyway. Have played plenty of 3 club and putter which are ok. Enjoy yours, you might find you score better than with a full set.

Sounds pretty much how I played any competitive golf for the latter part of last summer, 3 iron off the tee plenty enough to get me around our 6600yd course, albeit made a few of the par 5s unreachable
