I'm changing my irons and looks like I'll be doing it through AGD as there £120 cheaper than anyone else. They've agreed to trade in my irons but am wondering what other experiences people have had doing this. My guess a sensible price for my MX15s in very good/excellent condition would be circa £100.

Do AGD have a minimum trade in or is there a website I can get a rough idea of trade in value. AGD aren't giving much away on the phone and I'd like an idea for bartering!

Any help much appreciated.

Hmm, i bought my set new last month for £99 and see the used price for them on golfbidder is £199...that cant be right lol

Try golfbidder, from memory they value clubs on the website, if your getting a much cheaper purchase price from AGD dont expect too much for your trade in.

Golfbidder are always more expensive (certainly more so than ebay) but you are almost guaranteed to be getting a real club and not a fake/clone.

It's good advice so far.

GB trade in prices will shock you, they are a business after all and want a healthy profit...

example....2 week old Mizuno's bought for over £700 at AG, GB best price £300:(

irons are like cars they depreciate very very quickly

Yeah I just wanted a decent starting point... They've offered £80 so I suppose being £20 short of my ideal price ain't too bad. Other options I guess are eBay and the classifieds but just a little too much hassle for an extra £20...

I also like them a lot, however I'm a blade man thru and thru, wish someone would swap Mizzie blades for new Mizzie mp53's

When I went to my fitting I had ideas of trying some blades but basically once I found the head I liked I spent the hour fine-tuning the club, lie, length, flex etc etc... if it hadn't been for the hour time limit I'd be still there now ;)

My tip would be get a quote direct from Golfbidder as though you were going to sel directly to them and then give it to AG once they come in £50-70 below that. Tell them you know they use GB and so want the price you've already been quoted.

Sadly not practical for you but anyone in the South East thinking about using GB, go to their HQ in Raynes Park (near World of Golf so you can book a C/F session at the same time). I sold my TM Tour Burners and was quoted £200 online but flooged them for £260 in store

Golfbidder offer about half the price they are going to sell them on for. So look on their website, see what the model you have are going for and expect to get an offer around 50% of that.
They offered me £200 for my MP58's but I got a lot more than that on eBay - but you do have to pay charges on eBay.
