What's people's take on iron style hybrids?
I'm really struggling with the hybrids at the moment, irons are going lovely but look down on a hybrid and I know it's going to go wrong.
I've had a hit with a G20 hybrid and it's more iron like, hit it sweet from the tee and from the deck.
I'm not overly confident with fairways off the deck and to me some modern hybrids just look like mini fairways.

I find my mph a bit challenging off a tight lie. I still reach for my 4i instead. I like the mph off a tee though, for long par 3s, or from a nice fluffy lie.

It's still a bit clunky to look at too.

I personally find hybrids much easier to hit off the deck than long irons. :)

I had some similar to these but in the form of some RAM SDX's. They were the first set I ever bought myself with my own cash at about the age of 16. (Not too long ago!) They cost me about £100 and came with two hybrids. They were brilliant whilst I was getting into the game and learning it all properly. Only problem was the shorter clubs 8,9,PW. They were quite difficult to stop on the greens purely because you would get so much behind the ball. Great for a beginner, or young lad learning the game!

Can't get on with iron shaped hybrids.
the Ping G20's which I own have way too much offset & are too easy to hook.
I am in the process of swopping them for some Adams Super S hybrids.

Saw the new Srixon driving iron in the shop at Woburn today - they look very nice

I use the G 20... Great club. Ugly as sin, but gets the job done! I also had a hit of the mizzy h5 1 iron and it was surprisingly happy with it!
