Im thinking of upgrading my irons and the set ive seen have project x 6.0 shafts. See most pro's use them just wondering what the difference is between DG S300 that i currently use?

Does anyone know?

We really do need an "Ask Ethan" bit in this Forum!!

I think PX6.0 plays stiffer than S300 and the flight will be different but Ethan's your man. I've tried PX6.0 and found them a bit too stiff, now play S300's and they're fine.

PX 6.0 is a good half flex stiffer than S300 (which is closer to PX 5.5) , but feels a bit lighter. The PX shaft is designed to feel like it has very little give, sometimes described as 'boardy', and also gives a different flight, higher launch but less spin so flatter trajectory. Some players find S300 spins too much, so launches low, but climbs and drops.

Great answer to the OP , how do you know so much about shafts mate ? Do you work in the industry ?

No, but I work in a scientific discipline which makes me interested in the science of shafts (and golf in general), which I think are the key component in golf clubs, so i keep up with data and expert opinion on them. And I have managed (by dumb luck) to get to know some well informed people in the industry.
