Hi everyone. I'm looking at a set of irons on ebay but they're 1/2 an inch an shorter than standard, and I'm 6 foot 1 so would like them to be half an inch longer than standard. Does any know how much it would cost to get the shafts lengthened on a set of irons? And where to get them done? Thanks in advance.

Any competent pro should be able to do it, or you could do it yourself and buy the shaft extenders yourself from somewhere like Gamola Golf. A good pro should also be able to save & re-use the existing grips, assuming they are decent. I'm guessing somewhere around £10 per club saving the old grips, £15 with new grips.

I say this assuming they are steel shafts; having used graphite shaft extenders once I won't be doing it again.

That will teach you for using bobmac! :D

Ha I wish i had someone like Bob near me for all my golfing needs ..( bring back Bob)

shafts were clicky at top of back swing, he had to re-shaft my PW , new shaft was DGS300, other shafts were DGR300, it was same lenght as my 8 Iron , had to get 2 others re shafted elsewhere , , 6 iron was at least a grip size bigger than the rest ..

They were grand eventually but no longer an issue thanks to GM & Titleist fitting ..
