in my previous thread about club length i decided to ring round few places about custom fitting irons..

Most said the AP1`s are an excellent choice but they come with a price tag of around £500!!!

I wasnt expecting to pay out that sort of money, so is this what i should expect to pay for a decent set of fitted clubs nowadays??!!

My MP68's cost me £600 3-PW fitted just over two years ago. The price for the MP69's in the exact same spec might just come in a shade under £800.

The prices are going up and up at the moment so I doubt you could get a brand new model 3-PW fitted for less than £500 of pretty much any brand.

Yes, if you want 3-pw.

Most shops will sell by the club now so look closely at what you need, maybe you only need 5-pw. This way you would probably only have to spend just under £400

YOu can get AP1's 2nd hand from about 250 quid. Assuming you could find the correct shaft it wouldn't cost a fortune to have them lengthened a bit.
Cheaper than buying new.
Not as nice though.....

yeah he did say i can order what ever clubs i needed rather than 3-pw..

i have thought about getting my current irons adjusted but can this be done and is it worth doing this than just having a new set??

I had new grips fitted on my current set in may this year so if i needed to have them extended then i would have to replace the grips again and thats not cheap

If you like your current set of irons, just extend them. theres not much point of shelling out 500 squid for a new set or irons if all you need is extended irons.

Yes it can be done.

Only you can guage if its worth it.

Get your new grips blown off and reused.
