Hi all, going to stay with a mate in Worthing this weekend, possibly playing Hill Barn.

I've not got a golf GPS on my iPhone yet so looking to download an app that has this course on it, would appreciate if you could check if you have one of these apps.

Also, other than Hill Barn, where else is there down there to consider?

Theres two apps I use both are free. My caddie pro runs aerial views, allows shot planning and runs a score card fit up to four players also running a stat manager for yourself. Other than that I use golf gps without the score card and again this is another free app. I only use this if I hit s course that isn't mapped in my caddie pro, which so far has been westerham only

I have Freecaddie (there is a free version and Pro which is £5.99) but the free one is fine. Just checked and Hill Barn is on there.

In the area I would try Littlehampton GC which is pretty linksy so would be in good nick at this time of the year. Where Smiffy and Co played, East Brighton, today is also worth a look and accepts 241. Probably about a 30 min drive from Worthing.

The Dyke GC would also be in good nick and about the same distance away as East Brighton.

Enjoy your visit to the South Coast!

i have golf shot on my i phone just checked and it has the course and although £17.99 if there is a course missing they will upload for free i find this a very good app with an excellent gps and a number of other good uses to aid the storage of stats to monitor progress. hope that helps? :D

Liking the look of East Brighton very much - have just buzzed my mate about it.

East Brighton is a lovely course. In superb condition at the moment, greens that wouldn't look out of place in July/August and not a trace of mud anywhere.
But if it's a windy day you would be best off going somewhere inland and tree lined.
Played there yesterday and it was fairly calm down at sea level. But it was blowing a gale on the higher, more exposed parts of the course, which most of it is apart from the 5th to 9th greens.
Very friendly club and they accept 2fore1 vouchers if you have them.

I plumped for the GolfShot app and think it is excellent, highly recommend it to others.

We played East Brighton and as Smiffy said, it is superb. Absolutely loved it.

The first time I have touched my clubs in six months and went round and got my lowest total for 18 holes!

Going to put the clubs away now and next play in September!!!
