Does anyone download anything specific and if so, what?

Is there anything already built in, if so I can't find or see anything!

Can you remember in the news when the US government was asking apple to unlock a suspected terrorists phone because they couldnt hack it. Speaks volumes to me.

Apparently I've been told if an iPhone thinks it's being attacked by a virus it'll shut down. I've had a iPhone since the 3G, no virus issues ever

I have both personal and work email in my iPad.

Early november our our systems went down for 48 hours due to a dodgy email, my iPad didn't skip a beat.

No no need for additional protection with apple products imo

I don't think you can get viruses on Iphones unless you jailbreak your device.

Any software installed on a legitimate Iphone has to come from Apple servers, one of the benefits I suppose of the way Apple does things.

While Apple products are both less vulnerable and less often attacked than Windows or other O/Ss, this doesn't mean they are bulletproof! Malware such as Phishing emails, for example, are just as likely to be received on Apple devices as they on other ones. So no room for complacency!

Phishing is nothing to do with OS type, so it is not a type of Malware (i.e software)
The point you make is true though.

Yeah but that's down to the person opening it. Not what it's opened on.
My my point is that my device and systems are perfectly safe.

There was an issue a couple months ago where the phones call history and text messages were gone and replaced with Chinese numbers and messages - don't think it was a virus but more likely iTunes account being hacked I'm told. I had to reset iTunes account password and restore my iPhone.
