Morning all.

I have been invited by a friend to play the belfry in a few weeks, he works for a company that have booked some tee times and the customers didn't fill the spots so he invited me along so I obviously snapped up the chance to play, especially considering it's already paid for.

Now, I heard yesterday that we are 3 playing partners short and I guess the spots would be wasted if they weren't filled, and as everyone at his work are mainly social golfers they don't really have anyone to ask.

Would it be wrong of me to ask them if I can invite the guys I normally play with considering I was only invited last minute as spaces were not filled. I wouldn't normally ask but according to reviews it's generally about a 4.5 to 5 hour round and if we are a two ball, thats going to seem like a life time.

What do you guys think? Would it be rude of me to ask?

Thanks in advance.

Yeah, we invite along friends if the spaces are not filled in our works day.

Makes sense. The slots are paid for and it will help keep your pace the same as the other groups. I am often the last minute stand in for a mate who does a lot of corporate golf for these reasons. Not unusual at all.
