Theres a documentary on BBC4 tonight at 9.00pm called "dark side of the greens" that looks at developers using golf as a smokescreen to build luxury resorts, now I wonder who they are going to be talking about ;)
Looks like it could be interesting viewing.

my friends dad got stitched up by a slick sales pitch some years ago, taken to sister resort to show finished villa and course,£30k deposit and nothing, company goes bust land is sold to recover debts owing,no golf course or villa.

Wow that's one hell of an eye opener

So is it all truth or one sided ?

Isn't Trump one awful human being and the perfect example of someone thinking they are above people because they have money

Hilarious Trump giving himself "The best golf course in the world" award, does he really think people are that gullible to recognise that

I love when he just renamed the dunes on the Meanie Estate.."The Great Dunes of Scotland"
The guy is bonkers...but his people know how to build/develop golf course
Will watch on catch up as forgot to tape it tonight

I loved the way they build golf courses in Middle Eastern countries such as Dubai. Just shift a few million tons of sand around and then lay specially grown turf on top like carpets. Instant golf course! The issues are the amount of water needed to sustain the grass in such climates, and herbicide and pesticide residues getting into the water table. Not to mention local people being thrown off their land. Several similar developments in the Arizona desert in America have gone bust, leaving investors without their promised golf courses and homes. Property developer Donald Trump came over as a truly repulsive human being, so probably an ideal candidate to be American President!

Amazing they gave Tiger Woods $55 million to endorse a course/estate in Dubai for them to mothballed the project and the partial build of the course to be reclaimed back by the dessert!!

Trump's "finest" moment was testifying at a Scottish Parliament committee and he was asked to provide evidence to back up his claims. His response was "I am the evidence, I am recognised as a world-wide expert".

Could be the end of the world if he becomes president!

I thought I could sleep again at night after surviving 8 years of George Jnr having "the bag". I dread to think what might happen if the mayor of Trumpton gets it.
