Interesting golf stat in the daily mail yesterday, for those who didn't read it.
Other than tiger who was the last player to win a major whilst ranked world number one?
Any guesses?
 
someone awhile ago I would imagine- heres another modern record Rory could hold as he wants to dominate golf now-his words.

Hey, I bet there's some very important news stories up there. It's just a guess, but I wonder if there are some stories (with the obligatory 34 zoom lens pictures) about some minor celebrities who have gone on holiday and have 'accidentally' (after their PR team have briefed every paparazzi agency known to man) got papped on the beach in their bikinis. Looking sad/happy/fat/thin/depressed/lonely/over their latest split/pining for the fjords, or whatever other garbage the Mail comes up with to try and justify it as a story. And there will probably be some misogynist undertones to the story as well. As it's the Daily mail

Anyway, back to the OP. Was it Old Tom Morris?

It must be after 1991 because Woosnam won the Masters whilst worlds number one.
Someone give us the answer it saves me clicking on the thread when a post comes up.
