Insanity!

I'm assuming there is a "new" fitness called insanity?

let me guess..........absolutely nothing thats actually new, but you do it quicker, which is the new/novel/revolutionary next best thing?

...and they say golfers buy any gullible nonsense:rofl:

I'm waiting for all the 'celeb' fitness DVD's after Christmas

Ummmmm.....No. (But you knew that!) You want to be fitter? You seemed pretty fit racing round 36 holes at Woburn!

:-) Always like to be super-fit and had gone soft (mentally and physically) of late!

Not new. High impact aerobics with interval training. Lots of plyometrics and agility. Intensive and tough - not your average celeb DVD :-)

Yes it's different to "other" exercise where you train for short periods and have long periods of rest in between, INSANITY is where you train for long periods and have a short rest in between

And it's on the bloody tv every sodding morning only £99 for a series of DVDs where a bloke shouts at you! And insufferable Americans smiling at you in their pants Lol

That's the one :-) Tania (front left) does my head in and by the end of this I'm gonna wipe the floor with her!

I like the idea of the results, but lack the will power and determination to try this. I'm not unfit, but I'm not fit either. I have no great desire to be ripped, but would like a bit more tone.

Is there a lazy version?

T25 is easier and shorter workouts by the same guy - Shaun T.

Would love to try this. I've done normal interval training at the start of the year. Dropped 2 stone in 8 weeks, put on about 8lb of muscle mass and drastically reduced my metabolic age.
Still take a fair few herbalife protein drinks and bars. Think I'll give insanity a blast for the new year. Get some before and after pics up when your done

I really want to join a gym but don't actually have the time or energy with work atm. Out at 5am and back in at 7/8pm is not good for health. So much bad food just to keep going during the day. Hopefully once we hit the new year I can finally join and gym and get some fitness going. (I'm not unfit for a big lad, but would love to loose another 4st to follow last years 4st loss)

Too busy trying to smoke myself into an early grave.

Good luck getting thru it. I think they should make it mandatory for all women!!! :p

I've done a few sessions and I think it's great. Certainly good for squash fitness. Hard graft though.

Go for it! Bought mine off Ebay and had to chuckle as the wallchart had a single tick against Day One!

Think I'll pass on the pics though :-)

Anyone embarked on this fitness regime?? I'm 10 days in and loving it now I'm (a bit) less sore every day!

Not tried it, but read about it.

It's similar to the 'Meltdown' or '300 KB' in as much as it's based around anerobic excerise putting your body into an oxygen defecit, almost like high intencity interval training (H.I.I.T).

The crux of it is you perfrom explosive, anerobic workouts for a period of time, once complete, your body will be in an oxygen defecit meaning you will burn more calories over the next 24 hours than usual while your body recovers.

It's quite clever, but nothing new.
