Hi guys

I haven't been able to play much golf recently due to a hand injury. I can't grip the club tight so it keeps twisting when I try and hit the ball. I have full mobility the bruising is gone down but it hurts when I move it. Just wondering has anyone else suffered the same injury and what they did to get rid of it. It's been over 2 weeks and i'm dying to get back out.

Slowly slowly, catchy monkey

Frustrating as it is, you have to give it time to get better, otherwise it may not heal properly, and ill be a recurring injury; much worse.

When it feels a bit better, try a few days with the putter and wedges, taking it easy on the practice ground; then build up slowly to the bigger clubs over the course of a few weeks. Good luck.

If your hand can stand the impact it would be the ideal time to work on your short game so at least you are getting some sort of golfing fix. You don't need to hold the club too tight for little pitches and chips and there shouldn't be too much resistance on impact

Rest, Ice, Compression, elevation? I have damaged my thumb recently and have done this religiously and it is starting to disappear and is no longer inhibiting my golf.
