I do the usual putting on the carpet and even do the soccer am 10 yard bucket challenge trying to chip balls into it. I also add obstacles in the way of the bucket and use different feet positioning to get the ball higher or lower but have run out of ideas and was just wondering if anyone has any practicing methods that they use indoors??

I go to my golf club, they have two indoor nets, so I hit full shots. Mirror behind, so I can check back swing, posture etc, and room to set up a tripod for video. At home? zip. Hard wood flooring, and not enough room to swing a cat.

Mate told wot he had heard on tv from Nick Faldo and the way he use to putt.....

Basically,if you struggle to take putter straight back n through(putter head does figure of 8:o) Faldo reckons once he has lined up the putt and distance, rather than look at the ball and putter head he use to look at his thumb instead:mmm:,which is meant take ur mind of the putter head and helps to take straight back..........

Tried it on course and felt odd but gonna practice more with it see if it helps.

I swing a club every time I got outside for a smoke... We will be re-turfing the garden in the summer :o

same as alex. im out to the garage every couple of hours to swing a 7 iron. have some room for putting but it gets boring very quickly i find. once you work out the grooves of the carpet the fun goes. bought one of those wee steel cups that catches the ball. its quite good.

I wish we had that it must be great this time of year.

Putt with the toe of the putter close to the skirting board. If you're waving it around like Harry Potter you'll clatter the skirting board.

Try some drills with the mirror (putting, chipping, half swings). I really enjoy the indoor golf simulators. It is of course not as good as outside, but fun and keeps my swing in shape.

I'm a member of an indoor range in Canary Wharf. £41/month gets me 30 minutes per day hitting balls (into a screen simulator, and two video cameras to record the swing, plus a free lesson per month.

Instant feedback and it helped me get from 16 to 13 last season.

I like this idea, a couple of times last year i had a practice putt and thought i was waving alot.
