Nice to see Chowrasia win. It is always good when a "home player" wins an event and it can only boost the interest in golf in India.

It was also his maiden european tour victory.

Quite an achievement to shoot the round he did so hats off to the guy.

Sorry but is it not just a case of yet again an absolute nobody wins a European Tour event showing just how weak the European Tour is. This guy will most likley never be seen or heard of again.
I reckon the better pros are probably jet-lagged and tired from all the changes of time-zones, food, hotels, languages, heat and humidity from week to week. It doesn't make for playing your best. The tour season should be shorter and based more around Europe and no further east than Dubai. There is a perfectly good Asian and Japanese tour if pros want to go there.
Taking the European Tour off round the world may be good for the development of the game but it isn't good for those of us who wish to watch top class golf on tv of a weekend as the pros are knackered and under-performing.
