Today was a landmark day

1 I beat my Bruvver (Ok done it before but its good to rub it in)

2 I beat 90 for the first time scoring 89

3 Recorded my best Stableford score of 42 points (21 + 21) and thats with a blob

4 Imurg reckons I could get a 2 stroke cut to 22.3

5 We saw sunshine

But the best thing was that I beat him when he was playing well ( apart from the last 2 holes).

Previously when I have beaten him, i have played a blinder , but he has played like a tart

But he scored 36 points today off 8 handicap, so he's doing good.

Just not good enough

Keep playing with him Phil.....He's off 8 so i think subconciously your upping your game because your around a better player and its rubbing off on you.........A cut is most definately on the way....Well done again keep it up

Well done Fragger.
I played 14 holes in level par gross and the other 4 in +9!!
Still broke 80 with 3 doubles and a triple! Bugger!
Fragger played as well as I've ever seen him play, only 1 bad hole and plenty of good ones.
I'd have needed to shoot +2 gross to beat him so it was always going to be tough. Annoyed that I lost 5 shots on the last 2 holes. Was still looking at a decent score till then.
Still, next.week I'll still score 36 but Fragger will only get 25!!!!

Well done Phil but also a big up for Ian too. Having been cut regularly for a while now it was no bad shooting to get 36 points of his new figure and having thrown a bad finish in as well. The first 3/4's of the round sounded like dream golf to me

How's the K15 settling in ?

Im well happy with the K15 Driver,

Im not the longest driver in the world by any means, but i can consistantly drive 230/240 yards pretty well down the middle with the odd one about 250, which is about the same distances spread I had with my G15, but without the random 45 degree slices.

Now im getting used to it, Im starting to hit it harder which will continue until i find the tipping point between distance V accuracy.

Inbetween the G15 and K15 I used a 13 degree V2 Rapture Driver, This was straighter than the G15, but the added loft made it a good 20 / 30 yards shorter.

I dont think i will be changing my Ping K15 Driver anytime soon. (unless Imurg nicks it)

Get used to winning mate, it will happen more often as higher h/cappers have more room for improvement, eventually it will begin to balance itself out.

i went to the Belfry today to be fitted with a new driver, I tried the K15 and then asked to use the G15, i hit the K15 10 yards further than the G15 and hit the K15 a lot straighter with a slight fade instead of my usual slice.


I however hit the K15 40-50 yards further than my current driver

Just got to wait 7-14 days to get it made now
