So, under the influence of fine Jamaican liquor, I sold my G20's last night for £250. Erm, wasn't a planned...plan, but nevertheless I'm £250 better off but have no clubs! Yikes Scooby.

So, with a budget of say £300ish (new or second hand), what irons, straight off the cuff, do you suggest would be an ideal set for me? Please don't say visit pro etc., this is an impulsive thread for an impulsive eejit.

Leading contender thus far is a second hand set of G25s, although that would be over budget...

Wilson Staff FG Tours. Great to look at and pretty forgiving considering the head size etc. If I was going more game improver it would be Cleveland CG16s

Golf Depot were doing RocketBladez for something daft like £299 a week or so ago. Risky with the reputation they have.
Someone above said Snainton, I think they had Cobra Amps (the old ones with orange but still decent bats) with Nipon shafts for something like £279.

There are deals out there, especially this time of year to serve your impulsiveness.
Happy hunting

You've just demonstrated one of Newtons laws - ' For every action (impulse selling in this case) there is an equal and opposite reaction (impulse buying).

I have a set J33s in the cupboard..............

Rocketbladz would fit perfect into the budget and be an upgrade on the Pings. ;)

I'm hitting the Nikes a lot better than my old Burner 2.0's but I prefer the thin top line and smaller head. I also believe from what I've seen so far that there isn't too much difference forgiveness wise. The biggest difference is they are a whole club shorter in terms of loft (The Burner 7 iron has the same loft as the Nike 6 iron) I also believe this is better though as there isn't a massive gap in the short irons anymore. My Burner PW was a 9 iron really and left a huge gap in distance.

Callaway x-forged can be had for good money now they are bringing out the apex. With expensive pxi shafts as standard too.
Lovely clubs.
