Important events on the Golf course?

My wife has just reminded me today that it was 11 years ago today since I proposed to her. Nothing golf related in that you might think?
Except.... I asked her to marry me on a golf course.

I had to do something.... she was four holes up.
I was only marking my ball but when i got down on one knee she got the wrong end of the stick and I didn't have the heart to disappoint her


Only kidding ... I proposed on the bank of the river Annan, the fact that this particular bank happens to be the fourth fairway of Hoddom Castle golf course was purely coincidental.

Anyone else had important, but non golf related events happen whilst on the course?

Erm I dont think I have have been on a golf course not playing golf!

the 4th at hoddom castle is that the 250 yard par3 against the river spent many hours on that course

i once got attacked by a crow on that golf course,thats the only non golf related thing to happen to me on the fairways

I've been going to that caravan site for the best part of twenty years. We've had a van permantly on site for the last 8.

lovelly place i spent quite a lot of time there as a child in the 90s,this year i been 4 times camping prob going in sep for one last trip this year,its a good location for the wealth of golf courses in the area
