I went to a range today to have a look and hit some balls, and maybe get a hybrid to bridge the gap between 3 iron and 3 wood.
Well, I'll go to the foot of our stairs
The irons looked and felt gorgeous, they gave me different shafts and what a major difference in the feel and swing on the clubs with just 13 grams weight difference
Next I tried the titleist 910 hybrid and the TM R11 H (the White one), tried 17, 19 and 21 degrees and OMG I was hitting them with a great flight much further than I can dream of hitting a 3 iron, I think I could dispense with the driver with one of these beauties.
So, after going to have a look I bought a set 
And will be back for a hybrid once I see how the set performs. First set purchased in 14 years
