I follow the U.S. tour on the PGA site but have been mystified by the brackets behind each players name, such as (SH) or (PB) or (MP). Can anyone tell me what they mean? Are they stupidly obvious?

The event is being played on three different courses

Peeble Beach is one not sure the other two

SH - Spyglass Hill
PB - Pebble Beach
MP - Montery Peninsular

Its a pro-am format and they play a round on each and then final round on Sunday at Pebble Beach

It's a bit confusing when I look at the leaderboard. Snedeker is in the lead with Jones second at Spyglass, and Holmes is lying third at Monterey. Is that right?

Yes. The fourball groups rotate around the three courses (which are not necessarily equally hard) and then after a cut, the final round is played at Pebble Beach. The players' scores are just relative to par.

Got it! Thanks.
