I'm finally settled.

After many changes of the contents of my bag, trying this and that and then going back to the start, I think I'm finally happy with my set-up.
It goes like this:-

Driver - Titleist 909D2 9.5 degree with stiff Voodoo shaft
3 wood - Titleist 906F4 15.5 with regular VS Proto
5 wood - Titleist 906F4 18.5 with regular VS Proto
Hybrid - Titleist 585H 24 degree with regular VS Proto
5-PW - Callaway X-20 Tour with Project X 5.0 shaft
Wedges - Ping Tour-W 50/12, 54/14, 58/8 AWT stiff shafts
Putter - Odyssey White Hot Tour #5 34 inch.

Barring theft, breakage or wear and tear I can't see me changing anything. I never thought I'd get there but I have.

Are you happy with your bag's contents?

That must be a nice feeling knowing your gear is sorted for a while, most of us swap and change looking for nirvana and never really getting there. I'm on my 4th driver in 1 1/2 seasons just can't settle on one, i've hit em all well but just cant seem to find THE ONE. :(

Murg - it starts off so promising,......Titleist/Titleist........etc etc,.....and then it gets all messy with Callaways and Pings........ :D

No reason

Before this gets out of hand, I'll just say....well done for sorting out your kit - looks good.
I just wish I had the commitment/money to do a similar thing, my bag is like I've gone into my pro shop and asked to borrow a useable set; the pro's then pulled out a matching set of irons and chucked any old stuff in. :)
My driver, irons and putter are CF, the rest is mostly cheap/special offer kit I've found mooching around shops or t'internet.
Ideally, I love to get matching W/S spine fairways and maybe go with either 2 vokeys or 2 TM wedges.

Good job Ian, ive never been in that position as I have never had all of the clubs that I wanted, my own laziness I suppose as I have seen clubs come and go.
I am 100% happy with 13 of my clubs and if I could finda decent 5 wood that complimented my game I'd be set. At the moment I am still using a nickent 5 wood which is ok, its about 8 years old compared to everything else being 2 years or newer.

I bought a new wedge, iron covers and put a few quid towards my brothers pressie to me and got a mizzy gtx stand bag but still couldnt help buying a new import Mizuno driver cover in Staff colours. :)

I'm sort of settled. My current line up is

Driver
5 wood
3 hybrid
4-PW
52 ,56 and 60 degree wedges and putter

However I can add a 3 wood and drop the 56 and 60 and replace it with a 58 degree wedge if I'm on a tighter course than my track and need more top end options

Yep, my bag is fixed for the forseeable.

It is a nice feeling to walk into AG and think you have nothing I want. Nothing.

Never happen with me!!!!!

Would like a new 3 wood and 5 wood or 2 hybrid, tried a mates mx700 last weekend. Would like to go back to a Aldila NV shaft. The v2 in my 3 wood and hybrid just seem dead

I'm always going to covert gear I see (the odyssey putter I posted being a case in point) but as I've come down to 12 this season and have posted a -1 and +3 gross scores for rthe front and back nines respectively although not on the same day, there seems little wrong with the gear I'm using. I have said if I get to 10 or below I'd treat myself to the TM TP's (still partial cavity). There is a TM demo day near me on the 17th and so I'm going to give them a good workout and see if I really can hit them or I'm fooling myself.

I never thought I'd get there but I have.

I can tell you all that he played a blinder this afternoon, shot of the season on the 11th hole..... a crap drive we wont talk about that, but then he picks out his 3 wood, takes a deep breath and creams it 265 yards to about 20ft from the pin!!

but are you sure about the putter? You have had at least 3 different ones in the bag in the last month or so?

Oh I'm sure. That downhill 8-10 footer for a birdie and a half on the 3rd convinced me of that!!

And before you all suggest things, I skyed the drive not very far at all. I paced out from the ladies tee stone (341 to the middle) and ended with 265 to the middle of the green. Ball finished just shy of the middle - without doubt the sweetest strike I have ever made on a golf ball. That and the level par back 9 made my day. Along with the 5&4 victory me and CVC had over another pair.

well after several years away from the game, i took it up again last year, using my old fazer contenders which although not great clubs were not the biggest problem - i was.

My wife bought me a set of Slazenger XR 460 FOR Xmas.....and again though they are not the best they have made my game better.

So yes, i am happy with my clubs - that said should/when i get down to 19 handicap or less i would be looking to get a better set, but for now they'll do.
