Just a slightly odd one here. I have size 7 feet (too much information) but find that in order to get shoes that are comfortable I need to buy size 8 to get the width right but then they are awkward and too long.

The only brand that seems to work for me are HiTec - just to clarify that I have no interest other than finding shoes that fit.

Anyone else have this problem? Got any suggestions?

Adidas do wide fit in a lot of their shoes aswell. But the tend to come up small so may need a 7.5.

Yep, quite a few manufacturers will do different width, just have a look over t'interweb and you shall find something.
Try being a size 9 when there is a deal to be had... most common men's shoe size apparently... :(

Seriously, Hope you find a good pair though.

HiTec traditionally were almost a Wide fitting as 'standard'. Adidas certainly used to be narrow as 'standard'. Footjoy, Ecco and Nike seem to be pretty standard for me, though I seem to be able to use anything from 8.5 to 9.5!

I have a mate normally 7.5 who can wear 9s in some brands!

I am size 7 and had problems with my Ecco shoes having to but larger for width. I now wear Callaway C Tech Saddle, they are a wider fit so 7 is ok and they have great cushoning.

Try having slabs of meat like mine. Wide fitting but I have a narrow heel!

I guess all those nights out in drag high heels and all have taken they're toll!

I'm a 9 in every shoe I try. But I bought some FJ's online and as soon as I saw them I knew they where far too big. Hoping dropping a size will make the difference. Not holding out much hope though. They where massive next to my size 9 adipures.
