If I cancel my direct debit for GM

Hi,

Took the cleveland offer so have paid my £44.99 up front for the next 13 issues of GM but have noticed it still sits in my bank as a direct debit set up.... given that I have already paid for the year I take it cancelling the direct debit will not have any effect on me receiving the next 12 issues (having recently received the 1st)?

It's not that I won't renew next year but would like to make that decision at the time it comes around rather than forgetting and the money being taken without me remembering.

Maybe drop Mike an email. As I recall he has an email address for the people who deal with the subscriptions but I could not find it to post in here.

In theory, you could delete it, however, as it is a direct debit, it could be set up again without your knowledge, especially if you haven't given details about cancellation, as they have the electronically completed DD mandate gives permission to set up the payment

Contact the Subscriptions dept, you'll have been sent a subscriber number, get on to them quoting that and see what they recommend.
