... then, wouldn't it be more to their credit if they banned "patrons" who bawled "in the hole" rather than bothering those who indulged in a sneaky wee text or two?

(Ok, I accept that yon patrons wouldn't necessarily be of yer typical type ... so to speak ... to utter such a cretinously, nonsensely, crappily ... utterance!)

Still, twould be an opportuninty, doncha think, to get the message across ... like?

I think he was saying that marshals should spend more time ejecting the shouters and worry less about people texting on their mobiles.

ah thanks for the translation Bob!

i think he has got a point its pretty annoying when the in the hole shout goes up off the tee of a par 4/5!

The texting issue is i would suspect down more to the fact mobile are banned on the course at most PGA events.

Give that man a coconut.

Apparently, the Augusta stasi have decreed that anyone ... including members of the media ... found using a mobile phone will be ejected and banned for life.

They like to do things a little different down there!

So heres my list of those that should be banned from Augusta.

-Anyone caught shouting 'gettindahole' on the 15th tee on Sunday needs banning for sure.

-Any commentator commenting how the ball 'wunders' away should be banned eh Ken Brown? (although I have noticed last year he actually changed his pronounciation to something nearer 'wander'). Apart from that Ken (just in case you are reading), you are a star!........

- Any player winning the par 3 tournament as they wont win the actual thing.

- Gary Linekker.

- Anyone whos ball stops on the bank short of 12 (instead of getting swallowed up by Raes creek).

- Them dogs in the houses left of 13 (although they have been pretty quiet in recent years).

And there must be more!
