...what would your Saturday night preference be?

So Strictly seems taboo to some and must watch viewing for others, each to their own.

My own perfect Saturday night would be an ice cold 6 pack ready for drinking, a nice steak cooked over wood, medium rare, thick cut double cooked chips, ate while sitting on a patio or deck with a great view, sunny warm, wor lass, my dad and goods friends for company, no TV but music that we used to be played at the Mayfair rock night playing, just sitting chilling and chatting.
 
I've just gone back 20 yrs. Drinking in the Farmers and then moving on to the Mayfair. No entry unless you are in black or wearing leather. Happy days.
 
My favourite Saturday evening... early evening would be playing with the kids, especially drawing cartoons for them. Late evening, a decent soppy tear jerker on the TV with HID and a glass of wine and the cheese board. And if I was really lucky... nudge nudge...

At your age, nudge nudge would only end up with a visit to the chiropractor, anyway I thought you'd had your ration book removed.

Family takeaway all on the floor (family not the food) around the coffee table, fire blazing , trying each others food , the giving out , the laughing . the tidy up argument ,a good silly family comedy , horse the kids off to bed, watch Everton come from 3 nil down to pip Liverpool to the title on Match of the day ,


A stretch even for Carlsberg buy hey ho u did ask :D & it is Carlsberg ..

Ok il substitute ... highlighted bit , horse kids off to bed , fall asleep on couch with the mrs as she is watching some silly film ..

I mainly get fed through a straw and dribble a lot

The struggle is when my bag is full and no one is around to empty it :o

Although I did compliment wor lass on finishing the ironing on Saturday whilst I was out golfing...she wasn't impressed when I said she had time to vacuum.
 
The Saturday out option:-

3.00 KO at Anfield, a win for the reds, out in town for 5.20 with the lads, real ale pubs away from the throngs on the edge of the city centre, John Lennon bar from 11.00 pm onwards, dancing to Madness, specials, adam ant, guns n roses etc, lobster pot chippy (pie dinner and a sausage on top), MOTD at 3.00 in the morning whilst posting rubbish on a golf forum.

OK the 3.OO Ko is a bit far-fetched.

The Saturday in option:-

A nice home cooked meal in with the missus, the Times saturday crossword together, watch a good historical documentary, a right good muffin with tea;), a large Glayva and a good book.
 
Family head on...

Takeaway with all my girls, buy a kids film off virgin, a few drinks with the missus afterwards catching up on her xfactor and then once she's off to bed, a poker tournament online and a fe more drinks

non family head on...

Take the kids to the grandparents, give her some cash and send her to her mates for a girly night in or out, then invite the lads round for a bbq on the patio with copious amounts of lager and get the poker table out, few card games, MOTD in the background
 
Feet up, good film and some sneisters. :)


Whatever happened to the all night raves and weekenders? :(
