England are currently 9/1 6th favourites to win the ICC World Cup - they would have to be a lot longer odds for me to back them. Aussies 5/2 favourites with South Africa 4/1. Quite fancy the kiwis to go quite far but semis at best.

Kiwis so reliant on BMac currently its ridiculous, rest of their top/middle order not firing at all and Williamson a big miss, do like their seam bowling attack though!

As for England, Im perennially against them but not by choice theyve all but stumbled upon their best side for this WC imho and actually have an outside squeak if they perform to levels they're capable of, still not convinced they have right game plan however (hopefully the tri-series will give a few more clues there) and they look at least one bowler and probably one hitter light of the best sides.

Hard to see Saffers getting over the line as always (albeit they look strong on paper), India have no bowling at all, conditions very against the Pakistanis strengths, SL not good enough, WI fighting amongst themselves again leaves the Aussies as rightly favs. That said, injuries may leave them weaker than they would like to be and for me theyve picked the wrong skipper.

All in all quite an open competition, not to mention one with a ludicrous structure that will only come to any life at the 1/4 final stage (after 42 all but meaningless group games!) As for the 3am starts, not looking forward to them at all lol, expect I only see the 2nd half of most of the group games at most

No. Too conservative and still 10 years behind the best teams when it comes to ODI cricket. England have been playing catch up since they were last in the World Cup Final (1992) and missed the rapid change in batting tactics that had evolved by the time of the 1996 World Cup. They havent really been at the races since.

Being in Australia gives England a better chance than if it was in sub continent. I see them more as 16/1 shots than 9/1. They could make the semi's but they are no better than that. Interesting to see them now Cook is out and the other players are all pretty attack minded. Hopefully the mindset of Morgan will give the team a more attacking focus.

I see our bowling as being weaker than the batting. I'm not convinced they have a real plan to stop teams in full flow.

Playing 2 or 3 of their first round games in New Zealand should help England but you can see the likes of Anderson getting panned if it is hot and dry across the ditch in Australia.

I wouldn't back them if they were 50 to 1.

They'll get through the pointless group marathon by beating the smaller teams, but they're not consistently good enough to beat the likes of Australia.

Semi's at best I think.

50/1 to win 3 games one hell of a price really. Consistency not actually that required in the format, gonna be which team finds some form in 3 one off games ultimately. Not saying we will but even Id be a backer at 50s lol

Scotland will win all their group games easily although I fancy Ireland to go all the way with easy wins against the West Indies, South Africa, India and Pakistan. We may struggle against the giants from UAE and Zimbabwe.

There's more chance of Monaghan winning the All-Ireland this year! ;)

Can someone answer me a simple question that I just can't seem to find an answer for

Why does Ravi Bopara keep getting picked for England ?

How has someone who regular fails to perform manage to play 110 ODI's ?

No chance , Australia all day long , India have a good side but will they turn up , they always do in india but not so elsewhere

Now he is not bowling he should be replaced by Ballance.

At least most of the batsmen have scored runs in the last few ODI's, and the bowlers are starting to take a few wickets. We should be competitive rather than embarrasing.
