I'm interviewing Poulter in a few weeks for Oakley. I'm a golf player on a very awful level and a fan but I'd much rather have real fans questions.

If you have anything you want to ask him, that would be champion.

He obviously thinks that image on the course is important. In the modern game, in order to be as successful as possible, how important is it to me noticed by the media, rather than just be a faceless wonder, who lets his golf do the talking ?

In post game interviews he has been known to blame outside interference when he plays a poor shot. Is this something he has learned as a mental training technique ? In the old days pros were expected to shut out all outside influences, and blame themselves for a poor round. Does this engender a negative attitude, and thus is a danger for the rest of the tournament ?

He obviously has the game to get to the top. But to get there from where he is is going to be down to mental strength. What does he need to change / improve within himself to be able to shed his good/decent shackles and become brilliant/unbeatable ?

Is there a point when the media image of him is going to be a hindrence to some people taking his golf as seriously as, say, Woods and Mickleson ?

Can you ask him why he's chosen to play like I do at this years Open when I have a fiver riding on him making the top 4. Last year when I didn't have any money on him he finished second - what's the hell's he playing at??
