Stuck in a hotel, and I ask the night porter if he can change channels to ITV for the Croatia match... he can't bl00dy work the remote, and isn't allowed to let the customer have a hold of it. After 20 mins, not 2mins or 10 mins, 20 bl00dy mins, I just gave up.

Maybe its my northern accent 'v' his foreign accent - treading a thin line here... and breathe and relax 2,3,4....

Trying hard to visualize how this went down... After 20 mins the guy would not just pass you the controller...

I dont think I have ever been to a hotel that does not have tv`s in the rooms....

That said, a couple of months ago I was in a pub in Dorset, for the FA cup final. They had to find a TV, plug it in, tune it in, and I was then the only one watching. A 40 inch plasma, in fuzzy vision. No HD. And I only got to see the second half.
