Due to being computer illiterate I have managed to duplicate half of my i-tunes library. Does anyone know of a quick way of deleting duplicates? It will take me days to do it song by song

press CTRL and S at the same time then click on the songs you want to get rid of and this should highlight each song and then press delete

what about using the restore function to roll the PC back to the point before they were duplicated? just watch you havent added other things as they will also dissapear

There is a way of showing duplicated tracks all on one screen so that you can delete them. It's a while since I did it but I think it's in the 'File' menu > 'display duplicates'.

Sort your tracks by title first.
File > Display Duplicates
Delete the dupes
