I haven't played my home course for weeks now, can't actually remember the last time. Playing Saunton on Sunday, Hankley on Monday with Robobum, Parkstone next weekend with PNWokingham then St Enodoc a couple of weeks after that.

Wonder if they will give me a refund on my subs

Has to be an option as long as I can retain my handicap for opens etc.

Join a local Muni for something like £80 membership and that'll keep the handicap active. Know a few guys at my old club that do just this and just play in Opens at away courses. Much cheaper than paying a full years subs somewhere

I've got country membership at Hayling (2nd club) but part of the deal is that it can't be my home club. I'm thinking local muni, there is a decent one locally that is £150 a year (includes some bar credit) then pay and play the odd medal just to show willing. Better than £1300 a year for something I hardly use.

Are you talking about Broadstone or Hayling ?

Broadstone Rich, getting my money's worth out of Hayling. When are you coming down for a game? Can you make Friday afternoon 9th Aug? I'm going down with Andy.

I have not and will not play at my home club in July and played it 4 times in June.

No wonder seeing as my game on Saturday coming will be my 1st in 3 weeks.

Too many other things on and August looks like I'll do well to play anywhere on any more than 4 occasions.

Many Muni's nowadays insist affiliated club members have a season ticket

Not round my way Doon they don't you can pay Membership fees to the club and long as you play minimum 3 comps they keep handicap active. You also get reduced rate green fees, but if you so wish to pay for a season ticket on a DD you can.
