So, it's been a record breaking year weather wise. Courses have barely shut and I for one have taken advantage of the sunshine and daylight hours and played way more golf than usual. However, I am looking forward to the winter season and the changes in conditions that it will bring. Greens will once again become receptive, driving distances will return to normal levels, "carry" and not "run" becomes important, club selection will become 2nd nature and not a guesstimate. Best of all the the fair weather golfers will put their clubs away until April so traffic on courses will diminish meaning a round can be done in less than4 hours. Can't wait.
