With a new season around the corner, I thought I treat myself to a new set of grips - Golf Pride MCC New Decade black/white, replacing the now-hard VDR grips I had.

It's like having new shineys...tacky, spongey, clean grips! Marvellous!

Nothing like new grips (cept ,maybe new clubs ha)

Unfortunately Had bad grip experience last weekend , need my putter regripped , original grip is lts shiny & slippy . after 2 attempts i left it behind to be collected the following day , decided to get my driver done aswell (in same as you got)

Turned out their putter grip batch are faulty , and struggled to get one on properly , and my driver grip is a good bit thicker than when i left it in #disappointment after being looking forward to the new ones

I totally agree with the sentiment of the OP, if not the choice of grips :D

I love full cord grips and have the Tour Velvet full cords (.... In white) fitted just now.

They are awesome

Currently having all new grips put on

White rel ace 3G Lamkins

Ordered new grips off my pro on Saturday and dropped my clubs in today, re-done tomorrow. Gone for new Lamkin Crossline ACE 3GEN, the grey/red ones. Excited to play on Saturday with them :)

My irons need re-gripping, these are my first set so never had any clubs re-gripped before.

Is there much difference between the different manufacturers?

Need to get ones with the same butt diameter as your clubs. Can be 0.58" or 0.60". Best to fit the same make and type if you are not sure.

Not necessarily.

When adding a .58 core grip to a .60 shaft it has the effect of adding an additional layer of tape, making the grip fractionally oversize.

Very handy if you want to make a grip bigger by building then up. You need less tape :D

On the whole though I agree as I like building up standard install grips.

Best grips I've ever used, although I went for a combo set of those from driver to 7 iron and then the permawraps for 8 iron down to wedges.
I don't wear a glove from 8iron down, so find the extra tackiness really good.
You'll love 'em!

So far so good! The extra grip on them is brilliant, even when they're stone cold or wet. Can imagine them being nice and soft/grippy in the summer, just perfect! Highly recommended for anyone thinking of getting them.
