I am not off 12 (11.5) after the weekend.

Apparently, my shockingly bad net 74 on Sunday was buffered, so no 0.1, and I was also off 11.3, and not 11.4 as previously thought. (I must have buffered in the last one too).

However, there are two medals yet to go this year, so I could still make it to 12 before the winter.

Or two more chances to get to 10. depends how you look at it.

Happy days. :)

And yet barely a word.....

You aren't a 12 handicapper and think 10 is still in your comfort zone on the evidence I saw. Still with winter coming and less roll etc I guess ost of us can look forward to a few 0.1's coming back

Everyone has to set goals, and 74 wasn't one of them.

It was more the way I achieved the score really. The front 9 is definately the harder 9, and when I was 3 over after 8, with a 120 yard par 3 to go, I thought it was on. Nope. a 5 on the 9th was the start of the rot.

Played 'safe' on 12 for another double.

Strong finish of bogey, bogey, double, bogey, is always going to leave a sour taste.

Oh and I only posted this in case someone was checking up on howdidido.com and busted me. Having posted on another thread that I had gone up. Can't be too careful.

....my shockingly bad net 74....

I'd be delighted with a net 74 at the moment, what admirably high standards you have.

So would I. I pLayed in my first ever comp as a single at the weekend - club championship and carded a mare of a round at 108! I did seem to have an inordinate amount of bad luck at times, my partner was astounded when I hit three consecutive shots back off of different trees on the same hole....... :o After the round I counted at least 25 "wasted" shots on the card. Disappominted, dejected and in despair, I know my game is a lot better than that, but it's in the toilet right now and fast disappearing round the U-bend........ bring me that 74 on a plate.....
