First round of the year for me today.

Tidy round had to skip a couple of holes due to light but managed my first hole in one on our 11th.

I'd love to say I nutted a 4 iron straight in but it went more like this.

As I started the down swing the ball rolled backwards off my tee, too late to stop. Caught it OK, heading to the left of the green, there is tree on the green entrance which the ball just clipped the top of spun 4 foot right pitched and rolled in. Woohoo :whoo:

Sorry for the bragging post but so chuffed.

Don't you mean, you flushed a stinging 4 iron into the teeth of a gale, pitched 4 feet short of the pin, second bounce three feet past the pin and zzzzzzzzip, back into the cup. That's how I'd tell it anyway :thup:

Just a weekend, one round Friday, 2 on Saturday then home on Sunday. Really looking forward to it and i hear the accommodation and food are excellent too.

Nice, I hear the hotel is pretty good along with the brassiere.

Biggest let down can be the sports bar, service can be slow and it is not cheap, however it does cater for a captive audience so can explain and it is in line with other hotel prices.

Are you on a golf accommodation and food deal? if not there are a number of good places not too far away to eat at.
