I Hit The Pin From The Tee

Played a par 3 course yesterday, holes range from 90 yards to 198 yards.

On the 94 yard hole the ball took a nice bounce on the green and ran towards the hole, it clipped the right of the hole and flag, an inch left it could well have dropped for a hole in one.

Wonder if I will ever get closer than that

edit, should add it ran about 8 foot past and I two putted for par.

Course was very quiet and I was following a bloke who was playing three balls so I did the same, on this hole I pared two and bogied one. The ball that hit the pin was the 1st I hit on this hole, and I only counted the strokes of the 1st ball from the tee.

The closest i've been to an ace is about 8 inches and that was when i'd been playing for about 3 months!

Think closets I've came is about 3-4 feet.

I played in a 4 ball on Saturday morning and one of the guys, Ray, stopped it 2 inches to the side of the pin on our par 3 9th. Its about 135 yards. Pin tucked away right at the back left corner and a bugger to get to.

That's the closest I've seen anyone come in person.

It's funny when your walking up to the green, they always look closer than they are. The amount of time I've walked up the fairway and the ball looks right on the pin, when you get there it's about 6ft away But not this time

Closest ive ever gotten was when I holed a 6 iron from about 130 yards away. It was a long par 5, and I took a 6 iron and a nice easy smooth swing, and it payed off!
Since then Ive played very much by the club up, and swing smoother method, had some good results!

It was a weird feeling, I was strangly pleased it dodn't go in as I was on my own, I want it to be witnessed when it happens!!!

I hit the pin on a 270 (ish) yard par 4 at Mollington, was that excited that I then 3 putted from 12 feet
