A 3/4 swing is better than a full swing....at least for me anyway. Much more control a better flight and improved distance! Although it feels like I am only doing a half swing, but looking at it on vid i can see its a good shoulder turn but with out so much arm swing.

Welcome to my world. My pro shortened my swing earlier this year, it's been a revelation

same here, although I showed the pro how i hit the ball better with what I though was a half ish punchy type swing but seeing on screen and with the launch monitor showed it to be a nice looking controlled effort and the LM stats backed it up.

A few practice session on and its working well.. i'll see how it holds up in the medal on Sunday thouugh......

Same, just trying to remember to stop the backswing when club is horizontal, especially tough when faced with a large carry!

How did he shorten it ? Did you get any drills you could share ? Whenever I have tried and watched myself back its still longer than I ever thought it would be !!

i sent a vid of my swing to a secret person via a secret website... secret person moaned at me because on my driver swing from down the line, you can see the head of the driver in full in FRONT of my face... i think i have an overswing problem.... I have been working on it and as per the OP the difference is amazing! i am swinging what feels like 1/2 now!

Take heart! Limiting the swing gets easier - becomes more natural - as you get older!

I could do with shortening it. Still get it across the line but it is on the list. A few bits to change this winter and then we can do this. I never swing fully with a wedge but can't get the concept with longer clubs

I shortened my swing because of a sore back and found it made hardly any difference in length but a lot more accurate
