Suspected fracture on my left foot while slipping down half a dozen stairs while sober..... You couldn't write it..
Anyone had similar if so how long to heal?
I have four toes bruised at the base and the smallest one is agony. I really hoping it's just badly bruised.
 
Dude thats serious bad luck .. tough break.. if it is confirmed a fracture its more than likely 6 weeks in cast & be another 4 before ya motoring again .. Hopefuly its only bruising , no point getin xray til the swelling goes down a bit , lie down & raise it over the level of your heart , couch is good , put your foot on the end of it and lie back , & ice it .. mind that day time tv if you off work , that will rot your head mate
 
Im just about able to hobble on it so will carry on regardless, daytime tv ....Id rather die.
On Sunday morning, I think it is fair to say, I wasnt at my pinnacle of fitness and comprehension.

brnedy i know how you feel, we booked at last holiday, and at the time i was racing alot of mx which come with knocks and so forth. 6 weeks before we are due to fly i take a break from motorcross with the plan of going out on holiday for 2 weeks with no issues.

we are flying on monday, but on the sunday prior to flying mum suggests i jetwash the patio, i get in teh va to get the jetwash, and as i get out slip on the rear steap of the van, land with my foot half on and half off a kerb about 4-5" high, grade 3 spraine and the ankle is shot.

spent 4 days of the holiday on crutches... bugger
 
Are you sure you didnt do it last saturday night on one of those wee tiny steps that every bar in Clonmany (NO A) seemed to have in their toilets, and thats you just sobering up enough to notice it:whistle:

No definitely didnt happen ClonArmany, Sunday was hard enough without a gammy foot too :D

Its actually not feeling as bad tonight (could be the painkillers), I might actually give Saturday a go, does hurt when I put weight on the left side of my foot though.

I forgot about those kola cube shots in the haze of the rest of them. There's me telling Brendy I remember the night quiet well and those feckin steps got me everytime. Nearly clattered my head off a few urinals.

Hope you followed PRICE procedure Brendy. Protection Rest Ice Compression Elevation.

You may find a mix of heat and cold theapry will reduce pain and promote healing. Avoid to many NSAIDS though.

I fractured my foot in two places and the doctors never put a cast on it so I just ended hoping around for about 4 weeks but after that I was able to walk but in a lot of pain. It took about 4 months for all the pain to go.
